Our annual Ferragosto Ball was back in full swing this year supporting 'A child's journey to safety'. All proceeds raised at the Ball will be distributed to two organisations:
Escabags - an Australian registered charity that distributes ‘Escape Bags’ to victims fleeing domestic and family abuse.
UNICEF - War in Ukraine: Support for children and families appeal.
More than hundred and fifty Rotarians, family members, friends and local business representatives attended the event held at Aqua Luna Waterfront dining, in Drummoyne.
Ms Sally Sitou, Federal Member for Reid addressed the gathering congratulating the Club on its efforts in supporting children everywhere saying it 'demonstrated the generosity of the Australian communities more broadly in welcoming and building the lives we want, and our responsibilities to those around us, so that we may all prosper together'.
Thank you to our sponsors - Canada Bay Council, Club Five Dock, Fundo, AKA Brand Design and Trevor Lee and Son. Together we raised approximately twenty-five thousand dollars.
